Nigel Franks

Hypnotherapy EMDR & Reiki

Bringing over 40 years of clinical and educational experience in the NHS and 20 years as a therapist, Nigel founded The Leeds Hypnotherapy Academy in 2016 with a commitment to making our learning and treatments accessible to a diverse population, delivering client-centered, ethical learning and care. Nigel holds a Certificate & Diploma from the internationally respected London College of Clinical Hypnosis, he holds General Hypnotherapy Register Senior & Advanced Practitioner status; Reiki Master Teacher qualifications from Taggart King and Reiki Evolution and EMDR qualifications from the John Dewar School. His skills encompass hypnotherapy, EMDR, and Reiki, offering a comprehensive approach to well-being. At The Leeds Hypnotherapy Academy, Nigel has chosen to maintain a small, intimate setting for treatments and learning which not only fosters a welcoming atmosphere but ensures our services remain affordable for more individuals seeking training and treatment. By prioritising a domestic environment, we create a space where clients and learners can feel comfortably supported throughout their treatment and learning journey. Alan has an extensive career in sciences, research, education (teaching in high schools and further education colleges) and the NHS. He was a trades union representative for the Society of Radiographers, representing his professional colleagues and had a broad knowledge of adminstration and HR issues.

Hypnotherapy

Gill has over 40 years of clinical NHS experience as a registerd nurse and midwife acquiring skills of empathy and non-judgemental communication, essential attributes for therapists. Gill holds a Certificate & Diploma from the internationally respected London College of Clinical Hypnosis, practicing within its code and that of the Nursing & Midwifery Council of the United Kingdom. More recently Gill has been working as an NHS smoking cessation advisor.

As a qualified Chartered Accountant with many years of corporate experience, Sam is used to the challenges of highly pressured and stressful environments. Her passion for helping people led her to study hypnotherapy and after gaining her Diploma with the Leeds Hypnotherapy Academy, she established her own successful business Succeed With Hypnotherapy. Since qualifying, Sam has worked with both corporate and individual private clients and teaches modules for the Academy.
